FINANCIAL REPORTING MANAGER

Our Client is looking for a candidate to produce financial reports to Group shareholders and stakeholders in order to motivate investment and meet regulatory and legislative requirements.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To assist in the preparation of interim and financial year end reports
    • To prepare the consolidated Group financial statements (consolidation of SA and foreign subsidiaries as well as equity accounted investments and JVs)
      • To obtain information from external sources preparing reporting packs for local and international investments (including the conversion to rand and calculation of FCTR’s ect)
        • To prepare the "on-acquisition" accounting of any new business acquisitions in terms of IFRS 3
          • To research and gain an understanding of new/changes to accounting standards which may impact the group
            • To assist in the preparation of quarterly board packs and audit committee information/packs
              • To assist in the preparation of the integrated annual report
                • To assist in the preparation of analyst presentations
                  • To prepare and review financial statements of subsidiary companies including wind-up and deregistration of dormant subsidiary companies
                    • To liaise with external auditors
                      • To prepare annual group tax and deferred tax computations (including annual and provisional tax returns) for each company in the group
                        • To prepare the intercompany REIT tax distributions
                          • To assist in the BEE Verification process
                            • To ensure that all administrative duties associated with the role is completed as per legislative requirements and internal procedures

                            REQUIREMENTS

                            Job Knowledge:

                            • Knowledge of group financial statement preparation (essential)
                            • Knowledge of IFRS (essential)
                            • Knowledge of group consolidation and foreign operations conversions and consolidations (essential)
                            • Knowledge of corporate taxation (essential)
                            • Knowledge of accounting structures & procedures (essential)
                            • Knowledge of cash flow preparation (essential)
                            • Knowledge of corporate governance and companies act legislation (essential)
