The CFO is positioned as the strategic partner and advisor to the CEO to support the sustainable expansion of the network. The CFO is responsible for all operational matters as they relate to finance, risk and budget management, cost benefit analysis, compliance, cash flow management and the securing and management of new funding and or capital raising strategies.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work in partnership with the CEO and senior executives on the strategic vision of the network including identifying and developing investor relationships
    • Provide leadership to the networks Finance and Accounting strategy, to optimise the company’s financial performance and strategic position
      • Take full responsibility for the overall control of the company’s accounting function
        • Contribute to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance
        on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers.
        • Ensure that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth.
          • Lead and develop finance teams
            • Work with senior teams to grow the business, formulating strategies and plans
              • Ensure corporate budgeting processes are carried out and reviewed
                • Take ultimate responsibility for the company cash management policies
                  • Present annual accounts to board and or investors
                    • Ensure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met
                      • Corporate finance: manage company policies regarding capital requirements, debt and taxation
                        • Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with external parties including investors and advisors

                        REQUIREMENTS

                        The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

                        ? Preferably a CA (SA) or minimum BCom Accounting degree with at least 10 years post articles
                        experience
                        ? At least 5 years experience in a high entrepreneurial or high growth industry in a senior
                        management position
                        ? Experience in investor relations
                        ? Experience in working with Boards of Directors
                        ? Advanced proficiency in IT and technology systems relating to finance
